Set in the Marquis of Granby - Franks’ text picks apart and unravels the stereotype of the drunk Irishman... at the same time as the text unravels itself, descending into a surreal and devilish tale.
 
‘30. It is here that the vision appears: cyrstal clear, the cream foam swells into eyes, a pale curve suggests a mouth, tiny horned protrusions hint at something infernal. The pint has become animate. Or perhaps the drinker, now slightly more relaxed and less disciplined,perceives connections where sober reason would see none.’

‘Hasti is a poet and writer based in South East London. They are the recipient of the White Review Poet’s Prize and the Queen Mary Wasafiri New Writing Prize for Poetry. Hasti co-hosts monthly open mic and poetry night Fresh Lip, and is poet-in-residence of One Tree Hill, Honor Oak.’

‘Sophie Jung employs humor, shame, the absurd, raw anger, rhythm and rhyme, slapstick, hardship, friendship and a constant stream of slippages. Her writing exists in the tradition of écriture feminine and lives as polyvocal collage, often materialized and extended collaboratively.’
